In a major counter-terrorism operation, the FBI has successfully disrupted a planned attack on the White House timed to coincide with a UFC event attended by former President Donald Trump. The plot, described by officials as 'credible and imminent,' was foiled in the early hours of Saturday following a joint operation between the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Secret Service. Three individuals were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit terrorism and attempted assassination.
The suspects, whose identities have not yet been released, are believed to have been radicalised through online forums. The FBI stated that the attack was to involve multiple operatives and 'weapons of mass destruction.' This incident underscores the persistent threat of domestic terrorism and the ongoing tensions surrounding high-profile political events.
