The Home Office has quietly imposed entry bans on two prominent US political commentators, sources confirm. The move, which has not been officially announced, is believed to be linked to their outspoken views on immigration and Islam. One of the commentators, a far-right figure with a history of inflammatory remarks, was detained at Heathrow and denied entry before being placed on a return flight.
The other was refused boarding in New York. Internal documents seen by this newspaper reveal that the Home Office cited 'public good' grounds under the Immigration Act 1971. Critics say the government is silencing legitimate debate.
A Home Office spokesman declined to comment, citing 'operational reasons'.
