In a development so deeply ironic it could curdle milk at fifty paces, the man who spent years probing the late Jeffrey Epstein's web of depravity has been released from custody without charge. The investigator, whose name I shall not utter lest I summon the ghost of a non-disclosure agreement, allegedly breached the very treaties he was tasked to uphold. Meanwhile, in the hallowed halls of Westminster, our betters are demanding reform of extradition treaties with the United States.
Reform, they cry, as if the current system isn't already a farce of Kafkaesque proportions. The spectacle is pure British theatre: a nation that prides itself on fairness now watching a man who sought justice become its sacrificial lamb. The only question remaining is whether the gin supplies at Westminster will hold out through this pantomime of hypocrisy.
