Sources confirm that Russian missile strikes pounded a residential area in Dnipro overnight, killing at least four civilians including a child. The attack, which targeted an apartment block and a nearby clinic, has drawn swift condemnation from Downing Street. A Foreign Office spokesperson called it "
yet another barbaric act by the Kremlin" and reiterated British support for Ukraine. Emergency services pulled bodies from the rubble through the dawn hours.
The strikes come as Moscow intensifies its winter campaign against civilian infrastructure. Intelligence leaks suggest the Kremlin is running low on precision munitions and resorting to indiscriminate bombardment. The Ministry of Defence in Kyiv reported that air defences intercepted 12 of 18 incoming missiles, but the ones that got through left a trail of blood and broken glass.
A local hospital confirmed four deaths and 23 wounded, with three in critical condition. The child killed was six years old. Her mother died shielding her.
Forensic teams are still sifting debris for remains. This is not a war of necessity. It is a war of choice.
And the chosen targets are people. Britain has pledged an additional £50 million in emergency aid. But money does not bring back the dead.
The UN Security Council will meet in emergency session tomorrow. Expect more words. Expect more death.
