A suspected organised crime leader was gunned down in broad daylight at a major European airport in what police are calling a ‘professionally planned execution’ — the killer reportedly disguised as a florist and concealed a handgun inside a bouquet of lilies. Sources confirm the victim, a 47-year-old man with known ties to an Eastern European trafficking network, was ambushed as he collected luggage in the arrivals hall of Tegel Airport, Berlin. Two accomplices, also posing as couriers, intercepted him near gate B12.
One witness described a sudden burst of movement: ‘The florist handed over the bouquet, the victim reached out, and then came the pops — three, four shots. Everyone dropped. The hitmen vanished into the crowd.
’ Police recovered three 9mm shell casings and a discarded bouquet with traces of blood. No arrests have been made. The execution bears all the trademarks of a settling of accounts by a rival faction.
Uncovered documents, obtained exclusively by this newsroom, suggest the victim was under investigation for money laundering through a chain of flower import companies — a perfect cover for moving cash across borders. The audacity of the attack, carried out in a heavily surveilled airport, signals a dangerous escalation. A police spokesperson said the perpetrators likely had inside knowledge of the victim’s travel itinerary.
The investigation is now looking at whether airport staff or security were compromised. This is a developing story. More follows.
